I'm too cool for words.

Nah, I'm just playing.

My name is René and I’m 18. I was born in the Bronx and raised in South Florida. I am the first member of my family to be born in the United States. I am Jamaican-“American”.

Right now I’m a first year at the University of Florida and a PROUD GATOR! I’ve just recently declared a Marketing Major and will be declaring a Mass Communications minor soon. I hope to go on to law school and work in the music industry. I’m not sure which are of the business I want to go into: I’m interested in marketing, public relations, management, law/contracts, booking…and a whole bunch of other things. I’m just learning all I can right now so I can figure it all out in the future.

My priorities in life are as follows: God, Family, Academics, and Music; in that order.

I love music. It’s been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I listen to it (obviously), play a few instruments, write music just for fun (though I really suck), and a lot of other things. It’s so important to me and I don’t know where I would be without it. I love singing and dancing too, though I’m not very good at these things either. I just feel so chill and loose when I’m doing it. It’s fun and it makes me happy.

Urm…what else? I’m in band, which is also another part of my life. I’ve been doing this for eight years now. I love making music with other people and being a part of that close knit family. It’s more than just an extracurricular activity to me.

I strive for happiness and success. I work hard to achieve my goals. I will not lose.
